Your securities account is opened with Alpaca Securities LLC, member FINRA/SIPC, and carried there on a fully disclosed basis. You log in with the broker, and you can withdraw or transfer the account elsewhere at any time — without asking us.
Protection in two layers
SIPC protection up to $500,000 per account (including $250,000 for cash claims), plus Excess SIPC insurance carried by Alpaca and placed with Lloyds of London, up to $75,000,000 for securities and $75,000,000 for cash per client.
